Continental Margin

Description

This video focuses on the features seen on the continental margin and the different parts of the continental margin. The continental margin consist of the shelf, slope and rise respectively as you move seaward away from the shoreline. Submarine canyons, turbidity currents and a sediment feature called turbidites is often seen on the continental margin. Turbidite deposits often display graded bedding.
