Subduction Volcanism

Description

This video focuses on the type of activity that occurs at divergent boundaries called oceanic ridges and at rift zones within continents. Both displays a spreading movement of tectonic plates as tensional forces cause the plates to diverge. Fluid basaltic magmas create new crust at these boundaries.
