Rocks and the Rock Cycle

Description

This video lists and describes the three rock types and provides examples of each. Igneous rocks are classified as plutonic and volcanic depending on its environment of crystallization. Sedimentary rocks are classified as clastic (or detrital), chemical and organic which also depend on the environment were the rock formed. Metamorphic rocks are classified as low- and high-grade depending on its environment where the rock formed. The relationship between the rocks are then demonstrated in the rock cycle. A sample question is included at the end.
