Mineral Groups

Description

This video focuses on the seven mineral groups found within Earth. These mineral groups include; silicates, carbonates, sulfates, oxides, halides, sulfides, and native minerals. The naming of each mineral group depends on the elements present and the arrangement of the elements. Oxides and Sulfides have economic importance because minerals within these groups are considered ore minerals. A sample question is included at the end.
