Description

Does it seem possible that Duncan could have reached the level of power that he has and yet remain as pure hearted as his portrayal by Shakespeare? Would Macbeth be any less guilty if Duncan were not as good as he is? To what extent does Duncan give over some of his right of power to Macbeth?
