Did you know that there are interactive sites on the Internet where you can practice your math skills and get your work marked?
Try some of these sites: Math for Morons Like Us provides tutorials, sample problems, and online quizzes to help you learn mathematical concepts in grades 7-12. AAA Math contains hundreds of pages of Basic Math Skills for students of all ages. Each page has an explanation of the math topic, interactive practices, and challenge games. Math problems are randomly created. Math Practice exercises from Harcourt School Publishers are selected and adapted from a CD-ROM designed for use by students using Harcourt's Math Advantage program, but the topics and interactive lessons are appropriate for all K-8 students. Some require the Shockwave plug-in.More comprehensive E-Labs are also available from Harcourt for students in Grades 3-8. A+ Math Flashcards provide both Java and non-Java flashcard exercises for students in grades K-8. (Note: The Java versions are faster but require a Java-enabled browser. The Java versions may not work with WebTV and some Macintosh browsers. ) Math Activities Online for Kids provides online Math activities to enhance your addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, algebra, arithmetic and fraction skills, as well as word problem activities, brain teasers, puzzles, IQ tests, logical thinking, trigonometry activities and quizzes for students age 6 and up. Lycos Zone's Web Portal for Kids (ALFY) has Thematic Units - by Subject which provide numerous interactive learning activities for young children. Math.com's Math Practice provides practice activities in a list of math topics for students in grades K-12. Each practice page includes four sections: At a Glance, In Depth, Examples, and Workout. ArithmAttack is a simple timed arithmetic drill that checks your answers as you go. Suitable for grades K-6. Meet Professor Tobbs provides activities to help children develop important mathematical ideas and thinking skills that they will use in math, science and in everyday situations. Designed for ages 3-10. Mathwizz.com offers interactive question and answer sessions for many elementary and junior high math topics. Suitable for grades K-9.
