The Old Man The Old Man is a rock formation that formed the shape of a man over a period of a million years. This ornamental rock rests on the top of the Western Hills over looking the community. Beside the Old Man there are pieces of another rock called the Old Lady. This rock was damaged and finally broke into pieces by erosion. There is a trail leading up to the Old Man. |

Within the community of Trout River, there are many natural attractions. Most of these attractions are landmarks that resemble animals or people. Others are wilderness areas or hiking trails. We are sure that you will enjoy seeing or using all of them!!! |

The Elephant's Head The Elephant's Head is a land formation that resembles an animal. This mountain overlooks Trout River Pond. There used to be a mine located in that area but it closed many years ago. This picture of the Elephant's Head was taken in the winter and is covered with snow. |

The Narrows The Narrows is a narrow strip of water about three feet deep that separates the two ends of Trout River Pond. From here you can get an excellent view of the pond and the surrounding mountains. This place is also a favorable fishing site. There is a hiking trail that leads from the shores of the pond to the Narrows, and finally to the Elephants Head. |
