During the Summer of 2000, the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences
of Memorial University will be presenting an event entitled New Frontiers, New Traditions.
This is a national conference for the Advancement of Women in Engineering, Science and Technology,
which will take place on July 6-8, 2000, in St, John's NF.





Topics of discussion and development include:
  • The development of interest of girls in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
  • The recruitment of young women into STEM career paths.
  • The retention and leadership of women in these fields by ensuring their career objectives are met.
