Richibucto, New Brunswick Constructed in 1956. Richibucto is the Shiretown of Kent County. The Legion was in the process of having a Cenotaph built but was short of funds. The County Councillors were attending a meeting, and the Legion served them a dinner. The President informed the councillors of their plans to erect a Cenotaph and of their shortage of funds. During the meeting session the next day, they voted unanimously in favour of providing the additional funds. That is why the main Remembrance Day ceremonies are held at the Richibucto Cenotaph. Funding for maintenance is provided by the Town of Richibucto.
