Redcliff Cenotaph

 

 
Redcliff, Alberta (in the central part of town)

The Redcliff cenotaph was constructed in 1986 in memory of the war dead from World War I and World War II.

The inscription the north face of the cenotaph read:

DEDICATED TO THE GLORY OF THOSE WHO SERVED THEIR COUNTRY
ERECTED BY THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION REDCLIFF BRANCH NUMBER 6 1986

The east face of the cenotaph contains the poem "In Flanders Fields" by John McCrae.


On the South face of the cenotaph are the names of the war dead. The inscription reads:

In Remembrance of Redcliff and District Sons who paid the Supreme sacrifice
