Introduction to World Geography 3202

To the Student

This course will probably be a lot different than any other course you have taken before.  You will not be interacting with your teacher or many of your other classmates face-to-face.  Instead, you will communicate with them digitally -- through email, discussion boards, and audio conferences.  Your lessons will be provided online, and many of your assignments and tests will be submitted electronically.

You will have little 'scheduled' online time with your e-teacher compared to the amount of time you would spend with your classroom teacher.  Instead, you will be expected to read the lesson, work through the examples, and complete the assigned activities.  If you run into trouble, then you should talk with any classmates that are immediately available.  If you still have difficulty, you need to contact your teacher.

This course will be challenging, and it will take some time to get used to the delivery method.  There are times when this will be frustrating, but in the end, it should be a very rewarding experience, and hopefully you will learn to appreciate geography a little more.
