Community Description
When you send your community description you may want to follow these guidelines.
This will give us some common ground to use when discussing the similarities
and differences in our communities.
Our School
How many students are in your school? How many grades? How many boys and girls
are in your class (or group)?
How do most students get to school?
Our Community
Is your community a city, town or in the country? Do most students in our
class live in houses or apartments? What other important buildings are in
our community? How close are services such as a hospital, an airport, and
recreational facilities such as swimming pools and skating rinks?
What jobs do people in your community have?
Landscape
Is the landscape around your community flat or hilly? Are there lots of trees?
What kinds of wild animals are common in your area?
